What is the energy consumption of the heliostat system?
Because the sunflower uses solar energy as its primary source of drying heat, its electricity consumption is minimal:
- Use with Solar Energy Only: It consumes approximately 400 W in the 250 kg capacity configuration, and only 1 kW in the 1-tonne capacity configuration (half the energy consumed on average by a standard water heater).
- Use in Hybrid Mode: During drying operations carried out in periods of insufficient sunlight or in the winter months, the consumption calculation varies depending on the energy input of the hybridisation infrastructure integrated into the system.
What is the delivery time of the sunflower?
The delivery process for our systems varies between 3 and 4 months, depending on the preferred product configuration and scale.
- Pre-order Campaign: We offer forward-season pre-order planning for our manufacturers who wish to acquire the product at discounted amounts and advantageous prices. This allows the production schedule to be reserved in advance, ensuring that your product is delivered within a clearly defined period.
Can the heliostat system be installed in every geographical region?
It can be installed in practically any location; however, in some geographies, additional equipment integration may be required for the system to operate at maximum efficiency:
- High Humidity and Coastal Regions: In locations with a high relative humidity such as the seaside, dehumidifying the inlet air supplied to the system is of critical importance in order to increase drying efficiency. In this regard, it is beneficial to utilise industrial air dryer systems.
- Climate Adaptation and Solar Drying Period: The overlap between the months when the system can be actively used and the harvest periods of the products targeted for drying determines the region-specific “solar drying period”.
For example, while in November climatic conditions in regions such as Gaziantep and Şanlıurfa still permit the drying of apples or aubergines, in locations such as Erzurum, climatic conditions dictate that the drying of medicinal and aromatic plants is preferred during the same month.
